Summary

  • Your transactions, budgets and settings are stored on your device. We do not operate servers that receive or store your financial data.
  • Google sign-in is optional. It is used only to back up to, and restore from, a private app folder in your own Google Drive.
  • My Wallet contains no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. We never sell, rent or share your data.
  • You can delete your data at any time. See Data retention and deletion.

1. About this policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the My Wallet mobile application (the "App") handles information. The App is developed and published by theinfosharp ("we", "us" or "our"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

The App is designed so that we do not need, and do not receive, your personal financial data. Most of this policy therefore describes what happens on your own device and in your own Google account.

2. Information the app handles

InformationWhere it is keptWhy it is used
Financial entries: amounts, dates, times, categories, payment modes and notes you enterOn your device, in the App's private storageTo record and show your income and expenses, budgets and reports
Budgets, categories and preferences: currency, theme, budgets, custom categories, reminder time and backup scheduleOn your deviceTo provide the App's features and remember your settings
Google account details (only if you sign in): name, email address, Google account ID and profile picture linkOn your deviceTo show which account is connected and to keep backup records separate for each account
Google sign-in tokens (only if you sign in)On your device, in encrypted secure storageTo access your Google Drive backup folder on your behalf
Backup files (only if you use Google Drive backup)In the hidden app folder of your own Google DriveTo let you restore your data on this or another device
Files you import or export: Excel, CSV, PDF and local backup (JSON) filesProcessed on your device; saved or shared only where you chooseImport, export, reports and local backup

The App may use your device's region setting, on your device, to suggest a currency when you first set it up. This setting is not sent anywhere.

3. Google sign-in and Google Drive backup

If you choose to connect a Google account, the App uses Google's official OAuth 2.0 sign-in and requests only these permissions (scopes):

  • openid, profile and email: to identify the connected account and show its name and email in the App.
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.appdata: to create, read and update the App's own backup files in the hidden application data folder of your Google Drive.

With the drive.appdata permission, the App cannot see, open or change any of your other Google Drive files. Backup files are stored in your Google account, and we have no access to them. The App communicates directly between your device and Google. No data passes through any server of ours.

The App never deletes backup files from your Google Drive. When it backs up, it uploads only the months that changed since the last backup.

4. Google API Services: Limited Use

My Wallet's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically, information received from Google APIs is used only to provide the backup and restore features visible to you in the App. It is not used for advertising, is not sold, is not transferred to third parties, and is not read by humans.

5. Daily reminders and automatic backup

  • Daily reminder: if you turn it on, the App schedules a local notification on your device at the time you choose. Reminders are created on your phone. The App does not use push notifications, and no notification data is sent to us.
  • Automatic backup: if you turn it on, Android periodically runs a background check. When a scheduled backup is due and your phone is online, the App uploads changed months to your Google Drive app folder, exactly like a manual backup. If you turn automatic backup off, the background check is removed.

6. App lock (PIN and biometrics)

If you set a PIN, it is stored in your device's encrypted secure storage. If you enable fingerprint or biometric unlock, verification is handled entirely by Android. The App only receives a "success" or "failure" result and never receives or stores your fingerprint or other biometric data.

7. What we don't collect

  • We do not collect or store your financial data on any server.
  • The App contains no advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, crash-reporting services or tracking technologies.
  • The App does not access your location, contacts, camera, microphone, SMS or call logs.
  • We do not create advertising profiles or link your data with other apps or websites.

8. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell, rent, trade or share your personal or financial information with anyone. Data leaves your device only when you choose to:

  • back up to, or restore from, your own Google Drive (handled by Google under the Google Privacy Policy); or
  • export or share a file (for example a PDF report or Excel file) using your phone's share options, to a destination you pick.

Because we do not hold your data, we have nothing to disclose in response to third-party requests.

9. Data retention and deletion

Your data stays on your device until you delete it. You are always in control:

Delete data on your phone

  • Delete individual transactions, budgets or custom categories inside the App.
  • Delete everything: open Android Settings → Apps → My Wallet → Storage → Clear storage, or uninstall the App. This permanently removes all data stored by the App on that device.

Delete your Google Drive backups

  • Open Google Drive on a computer, go to Settings → Manage apps, find My Wallet and choose Options → Delete hidden app data.
  • To remove the App's access to your Google account, visit Google Account → Third-party connections and remove My Wallet. You can also sign out of Google inside the App.

As we do not store your data, there is no account on our side to delete. If you need help, contact us using the details below.

10. Security

We use industry-standard practices to protect information on your device:

  • Data is kept in the App's private storage, which other apps cannot access.
  • Google sign-in tokens and your PIN are kept in Android's encrypted secure storage.
  • All communication with Google uses encrypted HTTPS connections.
  • Optional PIN and biometric lock protect the App on shared devices.

No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure. Please keep your phone protected with a screen lock and keep regular backups.

11. Permissions used by the app

PermissionWhy it is needed
Internet and network stateOnly for Google sign-in and Google Drive backup and restore.
NotificationsTo show your daily reminder, if you turn it on.
Alarms & reminders (exact alarms)So the daily reminder arrives at the exact time you choose.
Run at startupTo restore your daily reminder after the phone restarts.
Background work and wake lockTo run scheduled automatic backups, if you turn them on.
Biometric / fingerprintFor optional fingerprint unlock of the App.
VibrationFor notification and feedback vibration.

The App also includes some standard permissions declared by the libraries it is built with (for example, for app-icon badges). These are not used to collect personal information. Files for import and export are chosen by you through Android's system file picker, and the App does not browse your storage.

12. Children's privacy

The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the App does not send personal data to us, we do not hold any such information.

13. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal data. With My Wallet you can do all of this yourself: view and edit your entries in the App, export them to Excel or CSV, and delete them as described in section 9. You can disconnect Google at any time. If you have any privacy question or request, please contact us.

The App can be used worldwide. Your data is processed on your device and, if you use backup, by Google in accordance with Google's policies.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App changes or when required by law. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. If changes are significant, we will also let you know in the App or in the app's store listing.
